In Store or Online Order Pick-Up

Pickup of merchandise ordered in store or online is available from our distribution centres in Edmonton, Calgary, and Camrose. Pickup of product from any distribution centre is free. We will contact you when your order is ready for pickup.

Online Order Conditions

Upon pick up or delivery of merchandise, we require the cardholder to be present along with the credit card used to make the online purchase, as well as matching photo ID. If the cardholder is not present for pick up or delivery, the merchandise will not be released.

Local Delivery Fees

The following delivery fees apply in the Greater Edmonton and Greater Calgary areas. This includes Edmonton, Leduc, Beaumont, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, St. Albert, Devon & Sherwood Park, as well as Airdrie, Balzac, Chestermere, Cochrane & Okotoks.

Local In-Home Delivery Service

  • Under $2000 = $99
  • Over $2000 = $189

Merchandise will be removed from the manufacturer’s packaging and fully inspected prior to delivery. Your furniture will be set up in your room of choice, legs attached, felt pads installed if required, electronic components connected/tested, and all packaging will be removed.

Please note, delivery teams will NOT move, rearrange, or take away pre-existing furniture or décor for liability reasons. Delivery teams are limited to handling only products on the Bill of Sale being delivered that day.

Merchandise purchased from stock that has been picked up or delivered may be returned within 48 hours of pick up or delivery, subject to a 25% re-stocking fee, or we will offer a one-time re-selection with no fees.

Goods not returned within 48 hours are considered final sale and are non-returnable.

Terms of Delivery

  • For your protection, we will only deliver if your residence is attended by a person of legal age for the duration of the delivery.
  • Ensure your driveway, walkways, and hallways are clear (from vehicles, snow/ice, mud, bikes, construction material, etc.).
  • In some situations, your purchase may be a tight fit. If our delivery team deems your home a tight fit, you will be supplied with a separate waiver to authorize our team to attempt delivery. By signing that waiver, you will approve our attempt to bring your furniture into the desired room and, therefore, release all liability in case of any damage to your product and property.
  • Please remove existing furniture and ensure the area is ready to receive the delivery of the new furniture.

Any product delivered and set up In-Home in which a customer cancels and would like to have picked up and returned is subject to a $99 pick up fee and restocking fee. Please see Return Policy for additional details.

Rural & Out of Town Deliveries

Any rural or out of town deliveries are subject to different delivery fees than specified above. Please contact us at info@nordicholdings.ca for delivery options and pricing.

We are unable to provide shipping or delivery anywhere outside of Alberta.

Delivery Refunds

Any fee that has been charged for a delivery that has been attempted is considered a final sale and is non-refundable.

The following warranties are given to the original purchaser of Sofa Land furniture products. Warranties are non-transferable.

The warranty does not cover transportation costs, wear and tear, misuse or accidental damage by the consumer. We will always attempt to first repair vs replace the product. All clearance products are sold “as is” without a manufacturer’s warranty. No repairs, returns, re-selections or exchanges of clearance products are possible.

Frames – 10-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all frames for ten years from the date of possession to be free from material and manufacturing defects. After one year, the frame warranty covers replacement parts only.

Springs – 10-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all spring construction for ten years from the date of possession against spring breakage caused by metal fatigue or spring clips loosened from the frame. After one year, the spring warranty covers replacement parts only.

Mechanisms – 2-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all mechanisms, for two years from the date of possession, to be free from material or manufacturing defects. After one year, the mechanism warranty covers replacement parts only.

Electronics/Power – 2-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all power and electronic components for two years from the date of possession to be free from material or manufacturing defects. Cables being squeezed or cut is not considered a manufacturer defect. After one year, the electronic warranty covers replacement parts only.

Foam – 2-year limited warranty

Sofa Land warrants foam for two years from the date of possession to be free from material or manufacturing defects.

All seat cushion cores will soften with normal use and will conform to the shape of the user. This shall be considered normal wear and shall not be considered a loss of resiliency or a material manufacturing defect. Fibre fills and feather seat cushion tops, backs and arms will flatten with prolonged use. This is inherent to the design of fibre-filled, feather-filled, wrapped, and fibre-wrapped products. Regular fluffing will prevent internal fibres from matting and help prolong these products’ vibrancy.

Mattress (sofa beds and sleep chests) – 1-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all mattresses for one year from the date of possession to be free from material or manufacturing defects.

Fabric – 1-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all fabric for one year from the date of possession against fraying.

Leather – 1-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all leather for one year from the date of possession to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, seam slippage, cracking, and dye transfers.

Leather is a natural product, and, as such, each hide will reflect its individuality. Some variations of shade and tone are expected, as are the nicks, scratches, brandings, veins, scars, stretch marks, insect bites and wrinkles that only occur in genuine leather; these characteristics are in no way to be considered a defect.

Case Goods (occasional tables, entertainment units, sleep chests) – 1-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all case goods for one year from the date of possession to be free from material or manufacturing defects.

Rugs – 1-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all rugs for one year from the date of possession to be free from material or manufacturing defects.

Accessories – 1-year warranty

Sofa Land warrants all accessories for one year from the date of possession to be free from material or manufacturing defects.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Heavy soiling
  • Abuse and neglect
  • Improper or unapproved cleaning methods
  • Fading due to direct sunlight exposure
  • Leather that is exposed to a dry environment
  • Protective finishes
  • Tears, pilling, fading, cracking or shrinking
  • Regular wear and tear
  • Damage from pets
  • Flattening of nap on velvets and velvet types since, by their very nature, these fabrics are of soft texture and will crush, shade and mark more readily than most fabrics.
  • Any product that has been altered or modified in any way

Labour and Workmanship are covered for one year from the date of possession. Transportation of goods is covered for one year from the date of possession and only on orders in our local trading area that Sofa Land initially delivered.

AS-IS and FINAL SALE items All items marked “AS-IS” or “FINAL SALE” are accepted in as-is condition with no warranty (unless otherwise stated) and are not returnable under any circumstances.

Deposits and Refunds

A deposit equivalent to 50% of the value of the merchandise purchased is required to place a Custom Order. Stocked items require 100% payment in full to reserve merchandise. Deposits will only be refunded to the same credit or debit card used to make the purchase. Deposits made by cash will be refunded on the debit card of the person who paid cash for the order, and if that person is not present, the deposit will be refunded by cheque and mailed to the person who paid cash for the order.

Deposits on Custom Order items are non-refundable.

“As-Is” and “Final Sale” Items

All items marked “AS-IS” or “FINAL SALE” are accepted as is, and are non-returnable.

Stocked Merchandise Conditions

Merchandise purchased from stock but not picked up or delivered can be cancelled within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, a 10% cancellation fee will apply, or we will offer a one-time re-selection with no fees. Excludes final-sale and discontinued products.

Merchandise purchased from stock that has been picked up or delivered may be returned within 48 hours of pick up or delivery, subject to a 25% re-stocking fee, or we will offer a one-time re-selection with no fees.

Custom Orders Conditions

Custom-ordered items are ordered specifically for you and cannot be exchanged, refunded, or cancelled. All efforts are made to ensure your merchandise arrives within the estimated time period. However, since these “ETA’s” are based on industry averages, there will not be any compensation (monetary or otherwise) for unforeseen delays. Differences in dye lots, leather variations, and wood grain will happen in certain instances and are deemed normal in fine furniture.

Shop confidently; we stand behind our pricing philosophy, which means you always get the best price, guaranteed. If within 60 days of your purchase you see identical merchandise at a lower published price by an authorized Canadian dealer in the same local trading area under the same terms and conditions, Sofa Land will gladly credit you the difference upon verification of the details. Excludes clearance, AS-IS, and discontinued products.
